good for him, hope all the players sign with european teams
Bettman still gets his 8 mil a year whether they play or not - billyk
Here in lies the problem:
1) A group of Owners absolutely destroyed the previous arrangement by over paying the top 1/3 Players. They created this mess and expect a lockout to fix it their bad spending habits.
2) The Players feel that they are being punished for what the Owners did, and I don't blame them.
3) Bettman still gets paid because he does what the Owners tell him, and don't have a problem with that. Whether you like him or not, you do what the Boss(es) say.
4) The Players need to realize that without Owners spending ANY sum of money, they have no job!
5) Fear the Fehr!
6) I WANT HOCKEY!!!!
7) The grass is NEVER greener!

Hey Garth. How come Pegula just doesn't buy the 10 poorest teams in the NHL and hand those out to his other rich family members as presents? He's got the money...you think it's possible? |

1.Shea Weber (Nashville Predators) $14 million
2.Tyler Myers (Buffalo Sabres) $12 million
Zach Parise (Minnesota Wild) $12 million
Brad Richards (New York Rangers) $12 million
Ryan Suter (Minnesota Wild) $12 million

Lock-out blows, but the players make to much money in a sport when its not a very popular sport in NA in some cities.
Owners are assinine bc they dole out these redicolous contracts as well.
just hope no major players get severly injured playing over-seas, bc it will derail the team they play for if season resumes.
time for AHL games to be televised, and watch the young kids.
like Grigo alot, wanted the Isles to take him at 4, instead of Reinhardt
like big centers. he will be fun to watch for you guys!!!!!
Go Super Bowl Champs Giants!!!!! |

There is a very good column in the Buffalo news this morning regarding this whole mess

Bucky loves throwing blame around.
He feels the owners have no right to ask for more than 43% of the revenue of a business they own? |

"So, Nail Yakupov is indeed headed for Russia. Will likely play for KHL's Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk despite his OHL assignment. #Oilers"
